Responsibilities

  • To ensure that you have a clear and accurate understanding of the industry you are operating in, including operational challenges, trends affecting your industry and accurate competitor analysis
  • To establish and implement procedures for equipment control of machineries and materials.
  • To advice management on choosing / purchasing of new equipment machineries.
  • To implement preventive maintenance for all plant and equipment.
  • To liaise with mechanics and site personnel for repairs of breakdown of plant and equipment.
  • To analyse and solve the cause of breakdowns.
  • To source for spare parts, compile quotations, obtain approval and issue Material Request Order (MRO).
  • To discuss with Chief Executive Officer / General Manager and Purchasing Manager prior to undertaking major cost repair works.
  • To ensure plant and machinery are in working condition before mobilization to site.
  • To ensure record of all correspondences and repairs are compiled into the respective plant and equipment files.
  • To keep stock of regular spare parts and maintain stock level.
  • To verify invoices of repair work and recommend for payment.
  • To ensure the Storeyard is secured at all times to prevent theft and pilferage.
  • To prepare and submit monthly stock count inclusive of material, plant & machinery to the management.
  • To prepare weekly updates of material stock count in Storeyard, consisting of material delivered in & out of Storeyard.
  • To prepare monthly log of machinery and submit to the management
  • To prepare monthly stock count of MIVAN System Formwork for material stored in Storeyard and stored at offsite storage area.
  • To conduct regular material / machinery / plant inspection and prepare recommendation report to scrape or salvage to management for approval.
  • To attend to project sites for retrieving equipment, tools and material and return them to the Storeyard and inspect all items prior to sending back to Storeyard.
  • To perform routine maintenance on all equipment and ensure in good working order.
  • To manage Storeyard personnel as assigned.
  • To assist in the implementation of Integrated Management System (IMS) and integrated management of financial processes that affect the operations of other departments.
  • To carry out any other duties as and when instructed by the Management from time to time.

 

Requirements

  • Education level: Degree in Engineering (Civil/Electrical) / Purchasing or equivalent
  • Minimum 12 years working experience in related field.
  • Required Language: English, Bahasa Malaysia
  • Knowledge of computer (MS Office) is essential.
